Town hall entrance landscaping
Architecture [school project]
Developed between Tercé and Souterraine, FR
This outdoor renovation project was initially for my graduation project but thankfully have been used for inspiration after all, during the real new set up of the space.
This landscaping project was based in a very specific and important location of the village, the old presbytery attached to the church. This space, with a very strong connotation needed an entry area, outside, to help people understand the new location. The primary need was to guarantee an foreground space that brings green areas, sitting spaces and a main path (for walkers and disabled people). The wingspan of the project was mainly historical research and urbanism/gardening knowledge.
With my dad help and savoir-faire (gardener), we’ve been working on some plants and trees landscaping that could create a French garden style, with straight lines and perpendicular visual that would resonate with the church façade.
Multiple ideas have been proposed but the visually simple one got approved as my final graduation project.
