For over two months, I worked with the artist Virgile Durando, for the ‘Japanese Knotweed Book’ launch for the Japanese Knotweed Festival launched in April 2023 at Mediamatic.

Together, we created a book template based on how to use the book for indoor/outdoor needs. Conceptually, the binding helps use in any occasion the book in an easy way, the [sans serif] font is clear, simple and readable from far. Finally, the monochromatic choice highlights the Japanese knotweed environment.

This version is an example of many we made, the original version of the book (selling at Mediamatic and on Amazon) is printed in black and white.

Thanks to the drawings of Virgile and the photographs of Jiyoung Lee and Justin Knelange, the artwork can be used as an archive as good as a tool for any Japanes knotweed lovers.
